The NSW landscape
NSW work runs on schemes. We write to them.
In New South Wales the path to government civil work is systematised: state procurement fronts through Buy.NSW, road and transport packages are gated by Transport for NSW contractor prequalification (R1–R5), financial capacity is assessed under the Buy.NSW Financial Assessment Services Scheme (SCM2491), and councils buy through Local Government Procurement panels and VendorPanel. A response written without the scheme context behind it starts a lap behind.
TenderBuilt is based in Rozelle, Sydney, and writes for civil contractors across NSW — metro and regional — bidding earthworks, drainage, road construction and civil infrastructure packages in the $50K–$2M range.

We publish what we know about NSW.
The guides below are the working knowledge behind every NSW engagement — free, current and specific. And for how an engagement runs end to end, the case studies are illustrative worked examples built on representative engagements.
Questions
Asked by NSW contractors.
Do you only work with Sydney contractors?
No — regional NSW contractors work with the same process as metro. Engagements run remotely through calls and shared documents, so distance from Rozelle changes nothing about the service.
We’re not prequalified with TfNSW yet — can you still help?
Usually, yes. Council and LGP work often doesn’t require TfNSW prequalification, and where it does, getting prequalified is itself a service we run. The scoping call will tell you which applies to the tender in front of you.
Do you write council tenders?
Yes — council RFQs and RFTs through VendorPanel and LGP are the core of the $50K–$2M range TenderBuilt is built for.
Can you get us onto Buy.NSW?
Yes — supplier registration and the SCM2491 financial assessment sit inside the prequalification service. Our SCM2491 guide explains how the assessment works before you commit to anything.
What does it cost?
Fixed fee, agreed in writing at scoping. Tender responses start from $2,200 + GST — the pricing page covers every service.
