Tender Compliance & Mandatory Requirements Checklist

Most non-conformances are administrative, not substantive — a missing schedule, an insurance limit below the stated minimum, an unacknowledged addendum, an upload that failed at 4:55pm. Work through this before you submit, and print it as a sign-off record.

Use it twice Once on day one of the bid, to find the items that need external time — a higher insurance limit, a witnessed statutory declaration, an accreditation you do not yet hold. Then again 48 hours before submission, run by someone who did not write the bid.

Pre-submission sign-off

The conformance pass should be done by someone who did not write the bid.

This checklist is a general aid for Australian civil construction businesses and is not legal advice. It does not replace the conditions of tender, which govern what is required for any particular approach to market and which frequently add requirements not listed here. Always work from the tender documents.

TenderBuilt writes and manages civil construction tenders for Australian contractors — including the compliance pass that keeps good bids from being excluded before anyone reads them.
